FAQ
Where can guests park during the event? There are several options for guest parking. The free option is to let your guests find street parking around The Square. On weekends when The Square is crowded and lively, there may not be many available parking spots, and your guests may get frustrated. The second option is for your guests to use any of the paid parking lots. There is a PAID LOT right across the street from Studio E (across from the Bear’s Den door) that uses the ParkMobile app for payment.
Are we allowed to use real candles? Unfortunately, real candles are strictly prohibited. The safety of our clients is our top priority, and lit candles are considered to be a fire hazard. However, we have you covered! We have battery-operated candles that create a beautiful ambiance. These are available at no charge to you!
Can we install some of our own decorations? Yes, of course! We just ask that our clients be mindful of our space and make sure that the decorations do not damage the aesthetics or integrity of the building. In case of any doubts, depending on staff availability and prior arrangements, we will be there to guide you or answer your questions on the day of your event.
Do we have access to a kitchen? Studio E does not have a full-service kitchen. However, we do have access to a full-size refrigerator and microwave. These are not located within the Studio E space, but on the floor above.
Is there a restroom in the space? Yes, there is a men's and women’s restroom located on the floor ABOVE our Studio E space. Our clients have access to these restroom facilities. Since there is not an elevator, please note that guests will need to climb up a flight of stairs to go to the restrooms.
Are you ADA-accessible? Due to the historic nature of the building, unfortunately, we are not ADA-accessible at this time. There is a short flight of stairs to enter the space from the street level. Studio E is accessible directly from the street or through the main building. Either way, guests will have to walk down a short flight of stairs. We are currently working with the City on making our space more accessible to everyone.
When can we come set up? Our wedding packages provides our brides/grooms access to the space for the entire day. You will be the one telling us when to come open the doors for you. We know weddings can be stressful and we want to make your day go as smoothly as possible. If you are having an event OTHER than a wedding/reception, you will need to consider and include set-up/tear-down time in your total number of hours.
Is outside catering allowed and can we bring alcohol? Yes, we allow outside catering from restaurants or from your own kitchen. And yes, we are a BYOB facility. There is no kitchen facility with stove tops, ovens, etc. But you are allowed to bring and use food warmers.
Does Studio E have preferred vendors? Yes, we have a recommended vendor list for various services. These are preferred vendors that we enjoy working with and have worked with in the past. However, our clients are not obligated to use vendors from our preferred vendor’s list.
Can I bring my own bartender/bar service? Yes, as long as you have a TABC-certified bartender. If you hire a bartending company, they will most likely have insurance, TABC bartenders, etc. Which we recommend if you would like to have bar service during your event. The second option is to have your event be a self-service BYOB. In this case, there will not be a bartender and you will be responsible for bringing the drinks and all the supplies.
Can I reserve Studio E for my preferred date even if I do not make the first payment? No. We do not reserve a date without the first 50% non-refundable payment. However, if you had put a hold on a certain date, we will let you know if/when we have another client wanting to book/reserve the venue with a payment. At that time, you will need to decide within 24 hours whether to make the payment and reserve the date or if you wish to give up that date.
